The Public Health Committee
The Public Health Committee is a preventive project of the Association of Dental Medicine Students, founded in 2015. The main task of the project is to inform and warn the general public about the most common public health problems. By marking appropriate health days in the calendar, we talk about problems and diseases of general and oral health, their prevention and their connection. One of the ways to mark important days is the publication of an educational character on social networks, workshops on oral hygiene adapted to the interest groups (children, pregnant women, people suffering from diabetes…), prize draws or distribution of promotional products…
The event we pay the most attention to and put the most effort into is World Oral Health Day, as we combine the importance of other days with it during the rest of the year. Due to the ever-increasing scope of World Oral Health Day celebrations, we regularly include students of the Faculty of Dentistry who are not in the organizational time of the Public Health Committee as volunteers. In order for the problems we talk about and the activities we organize to reach as wide a public as possible, the project is accompanied by radio and television broadcasts.
