Zubor

Zubor is choir of the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Zagreb. It was founded by few students and conducter Mia Maltar in 2015. Our current conducter is maestro Josip Degl’Ivegllio (2018 – now). Members of choir Zubor are students of dental medicine.

Zubor participates in events such as congress, symposiums, faculty day, many different concerts and work closely with our colleagues from projects Geronto, Dentakl and Academic men’s choir of Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. Also, every year the choir participates in choir concert „Festa choralis“ and project Dentakl – show by students of Dental medicine that connects dentistry and art. Furthermore, the choir promotes the faculty’s reputation on an international level, for example at the opening of International Congresses.

In 2018., Zubor received the Rectors Award for socially useful work in the academic community. Working together and being creative, it develops very positive team spirit and deep connections between students of all years of Dental medicine. Zubor represents the synergy of dental profession and musical art.

During pandemic of coronavirus, rehearsals were on YouTube. Now, once again, members enjoy live  rehearsals in Jurišićeva 7 on Tuesdays.
